About Us

Grandma Cho’s is in honor of my Mother, Mia Cho. She immigrated to the US from Korea and was dedicated to raising her children in a healthy environment and lifestyle. We want to carry on that tradition and hope you and your loved ones can benefit from our products.

My personal journey with CBD started with helping my mother with her Rheumatoid arthritis. The drugs prescribed to her were hard narcotics. It didn’t start that way, but with each visit to the doctor, the medications increased in strength. The side effects from her prescribed medication affected her lungs and landed her in the hospital. This led to me seeking out CBD products as an alternative to the pain medication and a way to help her fight inflammation. This idea took a very long time to be accepted (to older Korean mothers, Cannabis, in all forms, is dangerous and addictive). This is just not accurate.

After the second hospital visit, she finally agreed to give CBD a try. She found that the topical helped her with joint and muscle aches, and edibles helped her with sleep, inflammation, and pain. She had wished that she started earlier, and so did I. Unfortunately, her weakened lungs made her susceptible to MERS and I lost the most important person to me. She was a beautiful single mother who raised us to be compassionate and hard workers.

Since then, I’ve been approached by many for help. Moms, Dads, and friends with a variety of ailments. Some have been terminal, in pain, recently diagnosed with cancer, or have been battling a degenerative disease. Others had anxiety, type two diabetes, aches and pains, or simply, trouble with sleep. I don’t think CBD is a cure all, but I do think it’s one of the most amazing, natural, and beneficial products. It’s a misunderstood plant, and with so many brands flooding shelves, it’s become harder to decipher which ones to take.

Now, what would I suggest for you? It really depends on what you are looking for. Taking CBD is a highly personalized individual experience. Personally, it helps me with my ADHD, helps me relax, and I treat it like a dietary supplement. I like adding it to my intake of Vitamin C, and D. Sometimes, I add a few drops to my morning coffee or tea. I suggest experimenting and seeing what works for you. When first trying it, I suggest taking it a smaller dosage about an hour before bedtime. You might not feel anything for a few days, but don’t give up! Most people want a quick fix, but it’s always better to be preventive and trust the process.
